Agnetha Jaunich (she/her or they/them) works as a dancer, performer, choreographer, and dance educator. After completing her studies in the interdisciplinary program at the Institute for Performing Arts at the University of Fine Arts in Braunschweig, she collaborated with many renowned artists and worked for various theaters, including the dance department of the Staatstheater Kassel under the direction of Johannes Wieland, the New Butoh and Space Dance Centre Tokyo in Japan, and the Theaterlabor Bielefeld. As a dance educator, she has worked for the State Theater Braunschweig, the Stadttheater Bremerhaven, the Freedom Theatre Jenin in Palestine, and the State Theater Kassel, among others. In 2012, Agnetha created her first choreographic work as a freelance artist; since then, her works have been presented at many renowned festivals—such as the Light and Sound Art Night in the artists’ village of Schöppingen, the MADE Festival Hessen, and the NEXT LEVEL FESTIVAL. Since 2024, in addition to her work as a freelance performer and dancer, she has been active across institutions at the Academy for Theater and Digitality and the Theater im Depot Dortmund as a mentor for emerging artists in the fields of performance and digitality.
