In the research project [Who] Rules To Encounter, we are exploring together with artist and choreographer Silke Grabinger how we will interact with AI systems and humanoid robotics in the future.
During the two years research phase, the NRW Juniorballett, the JugendTanzTheater, SZENE 2WEI and students from the ‘Theater and Digitality’ Master’s programme will develop and test rules for interacting with humanoid robots in artistic and choreographic settings. At the conclusion of the project, the findings will be brought to life for the audience in one-on-one performances.
The process is supported by researchers from TU Wien, JKU Linz and Fraunhofer IML Dortmund. ‘[Who] Rules To Encounter’ is funded by the German Federal Cultural Foundation as part of the programme ‘Kunst & KI – Fonds für neue künstlerische Perspektiven auf KI und Gesellschaft’.
