On June 28th, national and international guests came together in the new black building of the Academy for Theatre and Digitality at Dortmund's Digital Port. The evening focused on the topic of artificial intelligence.
What body images does #AI represent and what patriarchal structures underlie this? And how can artificial intelligence be integrated into both dramaturgical and technical processes as a theater collaborator? Berlin-based artist Janne Kummer and the US duo Michael Rau and Michael Yates Crowley addressed these research questions. At the end, the audience was allowed to stand on stage with AI themselves.
From 2019-2024, the German Federal Cultural Foundation funded a total of 9 fellowships at the Academy for Theater and Digitality, which were dedicated to artistic-technical research in theater. The Academy for Theater and Digitality looks forward to a promising future full of exciting projects and would like to thank you for your support to date.
