Opening Night (english)
Sarah Jane Tully, 53, actuary, is taking her first holiday in years – and you are taking her place. As a temp, you will be immersed in her everyday working life: routines, data entry and surprising insights into a seemingly ordinary office. ‘Temping’ is an immersive, interactive one-person performance that takes you to a place where numbers become destinies. The audience becomes part of the action and experiences an intense examination of the question of what remains when life is reduced to tables.
The US collective Wolf 359, founded by Michael Yates Crowley and Michael Rau, has been combining theatre and technology since 2007. Temping has been touring internationally since 2015, including in New York and at the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh, where it was named one of the best plays of the festival several times. Michael Yates Crowley will come to the Residenztheater for a writing residency in 2026.
